Pimethixene maleate is a highly potent antagonist of 5-HT_1A, 5-HT_2A, 5-HT_2B, 5-HT_2C, histamine H₁, dopamine D₂ and D_4.4 as well as muscarinic M₁ and M₂ receptors, with pK_is of 7.63, 10.22, 10.44, 8.42, 10.14, 8.19, 7.54, 8.61 and 9.38, respectively^[1].
