A naturally occuring cytotoxic lysine analog. Substrate of bacterial lysine-2-monooxygenase. L-Thialysine inhibits homocitrate synthase, E. coli aspartate kinase III, and the lysine aminomutases lysine-2,3-aminomutase and lysine-5,6-aminomutase.
