Oxysophocarpine is an alkaloid extracted from Siphocampylus verticillatus. Oxysophocarpine has neuroprotective and anti-nociceptive effects on the central and peripheral nervous systems^[1]. Oxysophocarpine inhibits the growth and metastasis of  oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC)^[2]. In Vitro: Oxysophocarpine (5 μM) inhibits proliferation and reduces migration and invasion of SCC-9 and SCC-15 oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells in vitro^[1].
