Glyceryl monocaprate (Monolaurin) has inhibitory effect on Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and offers an effective treatment for herpes labialiss[2]. IC50 & Target: IC50: Gram-positive Bacterial; HSV[1][2] In Vitro: Glyceryl monocaprate (Monolaurin) has an antimicrobial activity against gram-positive ATCC SA 29123[1]. In Vivo: Glyceryl monocaprate (Monolaurin) combines with low-dose doxycycline offers an effective treatment for herpes labialiss, significantly reducing time to healing and pain compared with the placebo and monocaprin alone[2].
