Secretin, porcine (Porcine secretin acetate) is a 27-amino acid peptide, acting on pancreatic acinar cells and ductal epithelial cells stimulating the production of bicarbonate rich fluid. In Vitro: Secretin, porcine is equivalent to the synthetic porcine and human forms of secretin, and they can be used interchangeably in pancreatic function testing^[1].
